How We Recycle

Recycling at its best!

Our Challenger grinding system grinds wood components that can no longer be recycled into pallets by Pallet Express.

Wood Recycling.
Scrap Metal.

Woodscape of Utah is a leader in the inter-mountain west in recycling old pallets and other wood waste, with most of our product being recycled three or four times before we recycle it into the beautiful colored mulch and other useful Woodscape products.  Woodscape has a Challenger grinding system that grinds wood components that can no longer be recycled into pallets by Pallet Express.  Magnets remove the nails from the ground wood fiber.  The ground wood fiber is then screened for fines and conveyed into bins where it waits to be colored or used in our other recycled products.  Nails taken from the old pallets are also recycled for scrap metal.

Animal Waste

Recycling animal waste.

Woodscape of Utah and Wild Valley Farms have been working with the Soil Board District, USU extension, and local farmers to recycle animal waste from farms.

Creating perfect compost.

Woodscape of Utah picks up animal waste and takes it to our compost facility where wood waste is added to make the perfect blend of Nitrogen to Carbon ratio.

The compost is watered and turn regularly to optimize the compost process. The piles will reach about 160 degrees as the compost cooks.

Improved soil conditions.

Composting animal waste has helped improve soil conditions on farms across the state and has helped maintain clean water in our rivers and streams.
Woodscape is proud to help local farmers increase their bottom lines while providing beautiful products for our communities.
